I'm not a big Death Metal guy, and even when I'm in Death Metal moods, I tend to stick to Melodic Death Metal, or Technical Death Metal.

Doom Metal and Slayer are vastly different. Granted, I posted bands from every Doom sub-genre there is, but most of what I posted is very slow, deep, soul-crushing riffs.

I like doom and real death metal. I hate that faggot shit the metalcore kids are listening to these days like Bring Me The Horizon and such. Cannibal Corpse ftw.

Over the last 2 years I've found myself getting back into metal again after being disappointed with the direction most hip hop has gone.

My fave style would be Death Metal, closely followed by Thrash then Black.

Recently I've seen Nile, Cattle Decapitation and The Faceless live.

There's some pretty good local bands here too. Ill link to them when not posting on my phone.

The Faceless drummer is amazing... if it's the same drummer they had on their first two albums. I havn't updated myself on metal for years. But I agree. I tend to move towards other genres also with the hiphop that is today. There is still some cool cats left tho, even tho they are rare.

For me, now, exploring metal is like when I was collecting 90's hip hop. Including, via the Internet, finding those gems that slipped between the cracks.

However I had the advantage then of a somewhat decent knowledge of the scene. With metal it can be overwhelming when there's bands with 15 years of music u haven't heard, but you still want to be up on new stuff too.

I can recommend stuff if you want, or whatnot. I've been listening to Metal basically my whole life, my dad listened to stuff like Sabbath, and he likes Metallica lol.

lisanap1988, maybe you can point me in the right derection here. I fuckin love Black Sabbaths first album and I'm also heavely into psychedelic rock. I'm not too much for screams but I love dark shit. I want some supertrippy shit blended with the style of Black Sabbaths selftitled song. You know any music that is like that?
