Doom Metal

For me, now, exploring metal is like when I was collecting 90's hip hop. Including, via the Internet, finding those gems that slipped between the cracks.

However I had the advantage then of a somewhat decent knowledge of the scene. With metal it can be overwhelming when there's bands with 15 years of music u haven't heard, but you still want to be up on new stuff too.

I can recommend stuff if you want, or whatnot. I've been listening to Metal basically my whole life, my dad listened to stuff like Sabbath, and he likes Metallica lol.

Thanks. I'm gradually finding my way through. I guess that's half the fun! I know a guy on another forum that's pretty knowledgable and I browse metal archives forum for info too.

St. Vitus album Born Too Late is one of my all time favorite doom albums.

lisanap1988, maybe you can point me in the right derection here. I fuckin love Black Sabbaths first album and I'm also heavely into psychedelic rock. I'm not too much for screams but I love dark shit. I want some supertrippy shit blended with the style of Black Sabbaths selftitled song. You know any music that is like that?

Since my first post here I've been on a metal listening mission.
