Ide: How did you spend the day today?
jak: High basically, i smoked when i first got up, than got on the train to come down here to brooklyn.
ide: What time did you call me this morning?
jak: Ahh fuck. Hold up... hold up, i called you around probably like 10:45

ide: So what have you gotten done while you were out here ( in the studio in BK)?
jak: Some Ancient Oak songs... ah and i guess the rest of my album. I guess the last song.
ide: Whats the new album called?

jak: Just basically...umm.. journal entries of a bored person... I guess someone who's extremely bored [laughs].. i would say.
ide: What have you been getting into since you recorded Melodies for Children?
jak: Trying to stop doing drugs, and fucken get my life straight.... well half way.. i still blaze.

ide: How come you've missed so many of your shows?

jak: Alright me and you talked about this.. Its hard to find man.. but yea.. I still trip.. but you know... you know, take some note books, a recorder and a radio and shit; and go in the woods on a pilgrimage or whatever, and just fucken..drop hits and write what ever comes out, should be a album or a idea for one....but not to much man (acid/shrooms) No one..... once you get older... shrooms are good man.. but i like the chemical trip form acid.. its more machine like
ide: What about your artwork.. what kind of style do you have?
jak: Its just dopy cartoon shit.. i know alot of artist that are allot better than that, but there just dopey cartoons yea inspired by acid.. yea because they all look like their melting or whatever.

jak: I would go with axes, or log splitters. Anything with a wedge type of.. you know farmers.. you know dutch door swing.. double axe i would say. i too like power tools. anything gas powered, clippers, you know... and umm im sitting on my own balls yes..
ide: What are some good movies you've scene recently?
jak: Yo nothing.. its all computer animation.

ide: What do you think of computers, and the internet?
jak: Thats the way of the future. The future is now. nah thats the way of everything. Computers. I dont really like computers. but i like to search for porn.

jak: : Yea, you'll see me making balloon animals also over there, dont forget that..ahh so bring your kids. ide: Why cant you perform any of your old material at shows?
jak: My engineers computer crashed. We lost everything! Couldn't get it back. It was like Rzas flood.. That's about it man.. Im kinda getting hungry.. but were actually all out of pot.
ide: Fuck!....What kind of music do your listen to

jak: Some old artist part of when the movement started. Those are the people.. ya know..Basically stronghold, other cats like Def Jux... not really .. i usually listen to more like Led Zeplin type shit....i like certain emcees, but i dont really have a list anymore. Ive been kinda disappointed lately.. and in my self too. so fuck everything!.. Im miserable.. and i wear canvas pants yea..
ide: What can we look forward to in the future for Jak?
jak: Allot of positive music, and uh allot more shows.. and not nearly a over does. Ill die possibly of old age.. maybe... [in mid evil voice] good man, good good man, Ancient Oak, Jak Progresso, learn it, composite it, sulfur deposit it in your brain....
